It’s like the auto show, but for video games. All the latest gazes and events are on display in Las angelus this week at the trade show called E3. And some game developers from Vancouver decided that they better be there too. Theresa Lalonde has the details.
This is the new Hollywood movie stars at the gallery celebrating the small screen of video games. Video games are like any product, you gotta have something fun, you gotta have something new every year. And this LAX expo is where all the cool, new stuff get show cased.
“Brand new franchised.”
Vancouver’s game industry is there, electronic arts flew the fitness trainers from Burnaby develop team to the show to show off the new features of sport active. XBOX connect changes gaming. No more controllers to master. A camera traces your movements. So when even a nerdy developer can dance. There’s being a lot online buzz about Rock band. Players wanting new instruments, a giture, a kudzu. Now they know what they’ll get, a keyboard, a drum symbol and a new guitar with professional mode to more closely mimic a real guitar play.
“Gaming that is awesome.”
Brian Vidovic use to develop gaming, now he owns an entertainment company. It puts on Rock band competitions of local bars. He thinks the changes will make those events better.
“So this thing plus all of this is actually all gotta be interactive buttons. For us, I mean, you know, in the game community, that’s huge, because we can sit down and now actually say to those people who were hopping on the school and done a really guitar, we can.”
Vancouver is one of the top game making centers in the world, EA and Temdo ant vision Disney and Microsoft all have offices here. 22,000 people work in the local industry and entertainment field continuing to expand with the more weights to play.
