6 bodies recovered in B.C. Crash

Well sad end this morning, to the story that still has numbers of unanswered questions. Search teams have recovered the bodies of 6 people who were on board of the float plant that went down in B.C. An infant was among the victims, there were only two survivors. The more on the story, let’s have Tim weaks in Vancouver.

Tim, tell us about the discovery of the bodies.

Well it was the result of very concentrate afford that went right through the night. The story began basically at 4 o’clock at afternoon when sea air beever was leaving S island for Vancouver when it was run out in to a trouble. Witnesses say it seems to take off, seems to crash very soon after take off and went to a nose dive, because a number of witnesses were there actually watching it happened. They scramble the boat and rush the scene as quickly as they could and to pull two people from the water and turned out to be pilot and a female passenger. But the massive search afford fail to find any body else. The coast guard dive team was called in, they walked through the item and we understand that just after the midnight, they did recovery the bodies of 6 people, including that of a baby for who we understand they were found the wreckage of the plane and the door is open and wreckage was discovered at about 11 meters of water.

Time, 6 bodies recovered, two survivors. Where does the investigation go from here?

Well the transportation safety board was be on the scene this morning. As the small plane doesn’t have the kind of black box flight recorder, but they are hoping to recover the plane, do all kinds of mechanic test on it. But perhaps the big key was talking to the survivors. The transportation safety boards says they are hoping to talk to the pilot soon. As soon as he is in good enough shape to tell them. What’s hoping to carry on some kind of conversation with him.

All right, Tim, good talking to you. Thank you very much.

Dave看看我,试途同我沟通,“Mummy, I don’t want ……” 为什么呢?”“Yes, because I don’t like it.”

This isn’t the science class you remember. Students don’t use pens, they use clickers to choose their answers to the day’s quiz question. It’s not only different for the students, even the way the class is prepared is new. “Often when professors give fracture given lectures give the previous term than that’s too much to change. But here I need to modify every lecture before every class based on the responds of students to do an online survey the day before.” The clickers are much like the ones used on this popular game show. “So talk with your neighbors and figure out the best answer.”

“I think they help us engaging class more, like we definitely working groups.”

“It makes it go by fast, like we look up the clock and we are like, oh my god, it’s over already.”

“It’s a great system, it’s a like keep you on track.” The technology keep students engage but also keeps the teacher on track. “And I’m on the though that I present thing like a clear way, but then when I hear the results from the students with the clicker, response. The Government of Canada delivers Employment Insurance fairness for the self-employed

TORONTO, ONTARIO, November 3, 2009—The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, today announced that the Government of Canada has introduced the Fairness for the Self-Employed Act, legislation that would extend Employment Insurance (EI) special benefits, including maternity, parental, sickness and compassionate care benefits, to the self‑employed.

“Our government knows that self-employed Canadians should not have to choose between their family and their business responsibilities,” said Minister Finley. “Extending access to these benefits is the fair and right thing to do. It is good family policy, and it represents one of the most significant enhancements to the EI program in the last decade.”

“The self-employed have had little or no income protection to cope with major life events, such as giving birth, caring for a newborn or newly adopted child, being sick or injured, or caring for a gravely ill family member,” added Minister Finley. “This government is now providing these Canadians with greater peace of mind with respect to their future financial security.”

This measure responds to the Government’s 2008 pledge to help provide improved economic security and support for all those who are self-employed. By introducing this legislation, the Government is delivering on, and in fact exceeding, its commitment. With these changes, self-employed Canadians would be able to voluntarily opt into the EI program and receive special benefits. Overall, the special benefits for self-employed individuals would mirror those currently available to salaried employees under the EI program.

“About 2.6 million Canadians are self-employed. The majority of them have long asked for this support, and our government is responding to this strongly expressed need,” said Minister Finley. “We think that the self-employed should have the option of getting the same income protection that salaried employees currently receive when it comes to major life events.”

This measure demonstrates that the Government continues to make responsive and responsible choices to support Canadians through the EI program. It is just the latest in a series of improvements the Government has already made to the EI program.

Through Canada’s Economic Action Plan, the federal government is helping those hardest hit by the economic downturn by providing longer EI benefits, more efficient service and support for training, while protecting jobs through Work-Sharing agreements. The Government has also frozen EI premiums for 2010 at the same rate as 2009.

Most recently, the Government introduced legislation to extend EI regular benefits for unemployed long-tenured workers, who are individuals that have paid EI premiums for years and made limited use of the program, and who now need additional support while they look for jobs in a recovering economy.

The Proposed Changes

Self-employed individuals who opt into the EI program would be eligible for special benefits available to regular salaried employees, including:

Up to 15 weeks of maternity benefits.
Up to 35 weeks of adoption benefits.
Up to 15 weeks of sickness benefits that may paid to a person who is unable to work because of sickness, injury or quarantine.

compassionate care benefits (6 weeks maximum), which may be paid to persons who have to be away from work temporarily to provide care or support to a family member who is gravely ill with a significant risk of death.

In order to take advantage of the program, individuals would have to opt in to the program at least a year prior to receiving benefits.

Home Inspector Must Pay

Well now I hear some news that could have major impact on the home buyers across the country. A judging British Columbia has awarded Vancouver couple 200,000 dollars in compensation for a bad home inspection. Chris Brown is here with details on this.

Peter, this case involves the couple from North Vancouver who in 2006 spend 1.1million dollars on the home on the mountain slope. They hired a house inspector for 450 dollars, but the judge determined the man spent just 30 minutes looking at the outside of the building. He reported some problem of soil erosion and with some of rafters, total cost to fix 20,000 dollars said at the inspector. With only after the couple moved in and they found the rotten foundation problems was for more extensive, requiring 200,000 dollars repairs. The judger ruled the inspector’s report that did not clearly present the significance of the problems observed and that the liability waver didn’t protect inspector in part because the couple had very little time to read and understand what was in the contract.. People in the home inspect industry says that this ruling likable to tougher guidelines across Canada. Some of these standards if not all of them are very basic and nature. And you now as we speak can case judgment on the building without any degree of expertise. And this is what the standards at this time. And they will continue to be written. At this time is very loosely, very loosely defined.

Home inspector at this case was recommended by the couple’s real estate agent. So better to get someone who is independent. Also get everything aout the house in writing and don’t rush it. An through house inspection can take up to a day.

The Olympics are unmistakable on time opportunity for athletes to shine on the international stage. But metro Vancouver politicians are positioning to get their municipality on the pictures as well. Nine local governments has bend together to host foreign business people during the 2010 winter games and hopes that later they will come back to us drag a deal. “With foreign investment, we can develop partnership with the local business and we can create employment for the region. Decision makers from 50 small and medium companies will get the Olympic invite paid for by taxpayers. Half of the 1.5million dollars will come from the Ottawa, the rest from the cities. Critics say that local government should just reduce the property taxes to attract business. “Politicians bring business to a community by creation an environment that prompts business development not by partying on the taxpayer’s towel.”

The business people will spend 4 days in the region. They will meet local industry leaders and they’ll go to the Olympics and the tickets will be free. We do have a dialog with Bendlock and some assurance. That we will have the block tickets through the games to use for this purpose. HALLOWEEN

“Here you go, Mr. Veterinarian.”

“Where are you coming from?”
“From Shanghai! ”
“Shanghai.” Where are you coming from?” 然后在有一次被人追问说“Is it mainland China?”
