Right now we’re waiting for an update from police in BC, about triple shooting in Nanaimo. We know so far, one man is died, two others were sent to the hospital. Out Justine Ma spoken with someone who said he was there when the bullets start flying.
“I saw the gun man actually shooting, he was crippling, hiding behind the car. Tech cap behind the car and shooting.”
Witness is watched in hole as the man was shoot dead in this parking lot, what they say was the gun fight. Chris Wilson says 20 to 30 shots were exchanged.
“The guy that I saw shooting got in the leg and the other guy is dead still lying there.”
He’s spoken to the victim just hours before his death. The man believed to be in his 40s said “The life wasn’t danger.”
“It’s nothing to do with anybody else’s doing between them and it’s, you were shock because he out money, he didn’t want to pay it.”
Nearby business were blocked down as bullets flew. Two other men were also shot.
“Two others were injured, they were taken to Nanaimo regional hospital with receiving treatments for their wounds.”
“We suspect their activities, on the building Jason Tours.”
The head coach of boxing club next door says he suspect one of his neighbor was in trouble with the law.
“It’s really hard for coach to assure parents that they sending the kids to a save place when something like this happens.”
But police say this was a target shooting and not something that public should worry about.
“There’s no risk to the public, that’s get some primary stages.”
So far there’s no wounds on the conditions of two men were rushed to hospital. Police are expected to release more details later today.
